We just saw Michael J. Fox in person at a 92Y event in NYC. What an amazing man. And I thought of you while hearing him speak. Your post is such an amazing amalgam of parent, Parkinson's, and YOU!! FYI--there are multiple newscaster on WGN and other stations in Chicago who have been diagnosed with Parkinson's and are sharing with their audiences. You are (as always) ahead of the curve!
Shari - How exciting to see Michael J. Fox in person. He has done such amazing work - truly an example of accepting the hand he was dealt and making the most of it.
Learning to balance post diagnosis limitations (what I am able to do) with pre diagnosis aspirations (what I would have been able to do) has been one of my greatest challenges. Congratulations to you for respecting your body’s limits and figuring out how to participate in and celebrate your son’s accomplishment!

Yay, Ben! Yay, YOU!

This is such a happy post - and so good to hear joy in Chicago. The southside has amazing spirit! Bravo to Ben!
A wonderful, inspiring, and optimistic post. Congratulations to all of you, but especially BEN! 🙌
Congratulations to Ben on his PR! What a wonderful experience for him. I'm so glad he raised money for Parkinsons and you were able to watch the race.
